The OPERS Board has voted to renege on the promised COLA that they used to entice law enforcement members to retire prior to January 1, 2013. Their salaries continue to increase, but they have no problem taking thousands of dollars from the pocket of each retiree for the rest of their life.
In 2018, 147 of the 587 employees of the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System pension fund were paid more than $100,000. Six of them made more than $400,000!
You can check out the salaries for yourself at the website of the Ohio Treasurer which contains data on public employee salaries throughout the State.
